Med X Change, Inc. (“Med X Change” or the “Company”) is a medical device company that has developed one of the leading positions in the manufacturer and commercialization of high-end Digital Video Recording and Documentation Systems for surgical environments. The majority of the Company’s business has been focused on surgical video, documentation, and image management in hospitals and outpatient surgery centers around the world. Med X Change has built a reputation as a pioneer and leading provider of high-end, critical solutions in today’s surgical market. Med X Change’s products are a key part of the areas in which high quality image management is essential and essentially become a control station for image management. Facilities and physicians utilize the Company’s products for high quality video recording for i) immediate operating room teaching, ii) post case image analysis, iii) transfer of video and images to electronic medical record (“EMR”) systems, and iv) utilizing video for surgical meetings where sharing experiences and knowledge are a critical part of the transfer of knowledge.

Today’s operating room (“OR”) is filled with technological advances that have improved the effectiveness of the OR and the surgical procedures being performed. Two aspects of this improvement are surgical visualization and video/image management. Video/Image Management in the OR is now very commonplace, and almost essential. Med X Change participates in the high end, leading edge of these advancements. The industry has embraced video and image management technology and has become a requirement in [many/most] OR’s around the world.

Med X Change commercializes its products in partnership with leading surgical imaging companies, who sell the Med X Change products as a component of their surgical systems.

Products
Med X Change’s Digital Recording System (“DRS”) product line includes both hardware and software and is focused on recording surgical video (Standard & High Definition) that can be produced from a variety of cameras in the OR. The camera is connected to the DRS system directly and the video is fed into the software application. Through a touch screen, mouse/keyboard and other data protocols, the user can control the recording of video, capture still images, input patient and procedural information, initialize the real-time transfer to DICOM/PACS/HL7 servers for EMR systems, control post case printing, and burn and archive data to a number of locations. The system’s user friendly graphical user interface is an essential part of the software and facilitates a smooth workflow in the OR. Often times the video and still images are used and added to patient files as a documentation of the procedures that have taken place. In some markets the video and still images are given to the patients as well. Multiple product options are available as well as a series of accessories to facilitate the procedure recording.
